Finding the cause
Hair loss in men is often genetic and can start as early as the late teens. In women it is often affected by hormones, stress, medical conditions or vitamin deficiency, and often becomes more apparent at the perimenopause or menopause.
Depending on the nature and history of your hair loss, we may recommend checking thyroid, iron, vitamin B12 and hormone levels, a full blood count, and ESR testing for underlying inflammation.
