Hormones

Balanced hormones, better health

Meyer Clinic provides hormonal support to men and women throughout every life stage.

For women, this includes perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause, when the body settles down and needs focused care to be optimised and balanced. For men, this includes andropause and other age-related hormonal changes that can affect energy, mood and wellbeing.

Hormones are a part of life, but all too often hormonal imbalances are ignored or overlooked.

Many people experience significant symptoms that affect their quality of life and confidence unnecessarily.

We believe in early detection and tailored care.

Getting started

A consultation comes first.

A consultation confirms whether a treatment suits you before anything is booked. Treatment prices are confirmed at consultation.

01

At Meyer Clinic we want to give all patients access to the best possible options for their hormone therapy.

We can prescribe synthetic hormones, body and/or bio identical hormone therapy or compounded hormones. It will always be the patient’s choice, with expert guidance given with real care for the best outcomes. All clinical outcomes and prescriptions can be shared with your NHS GP, should you wish, so that they can prescribe this on an on-going basis.

02

We follow the BMS (British Menopause Society) guidelines but have a broader approach,

depending on individual patient requirements for focussed and optimised patient care.

Your appointment

Four steps, one journey.

We categorise our consultations into wellbeing/hormones, skin & mole check or GP consultations. We offer in person, virtual or telephone consultations.

Step 01

Listen in full

Unhurried time with your doctor to talk through your symptoms, cycle, sleep, energy, mood and anything else that doesn't feel right. We look at the whole picture, including your medical history and life stage.

Step 02

Test properly

Hormone testing chosen for your symptoms and needs. This may include comprehensive blood hormone panels, DUTCH hormone testing to look at hormone levels and how your body processes them, thyroid function, and related markers such as vitamin D, iron and blood sugar where appropriate.

Step 03

Plan together

Your doctor explains your results clearly and agrees a personalised plan with you. This may include hormone replacement therapy, lifestyle and nutrition support, or other treatments where suitable. You will leave understanding your options, including benefits and risks, and what happens next.

Step 04

Walk alongside

Your care doesn't end once treatment begins. We arrange regular reviews to check how you are feeling, repeat blood tests where needed and adjust your treatment as your hormones and needs change, so you feel supported at every stage.
