Questions

Frequently asked questions.

01

Do I need a GP referral to book a blood test at the clinic?

No referral is needed. You can book phlebotomy and blood tests directly with Meyer Clinic. If your GP or consultant has requested specific tests, please bring the details and we’ll ensure the right samples are taken.

02

What types of blood tests do you offer?

We provide a wide range of tests, including routine health screens, hormone panels, thyroid testing, nutritional and vitamin analysis, DNA testing, and more. Specialist and bespoke panels are also available.

03

How quickly will I receive my blood test results?

Most routine blood test results are available within 24–48 hours. More complex tests, such as hormone panels or DNA analysis, may take several weeks. We’ll confirm turnaround times when you book.

04

Are your blood tests confidential?

Absolutely. All results are handled securely and discussed privately with you. If required, we can also share them directly with your GP or consultant.

05

What is InBody Body Analysis and why is it different from BMI or body fat scales?

InBody is a world-leading body composition analyser that measures your body’s fat, muscle, water, and visceral fat distribution in about 60 seconds. Unlike BMI or traditional scales, it gives a full, segmented breakdown of your body’s composition, not just weight or percentage estimates.

06

Can I get the InBody scan without booking other treatments?

Yes, the scan is available standalone. Many clients use it to get insights into their body composition before embarking on nutrition, fitness, or aesthetic programmes.
