Meyer Clinic offers private GP appointments on a pay-as-you-go or membership basis. Appointments are 20 minutes in person with same day slots available in many cases.

What we can help with

You can book for general health concerns, prescriptions, medical advice, blood tests, referrals, women's health, men's health and preventive screenings. We offer immediate treatment for many conditions and can arrange onward NHS or private referrals for more complex issues.

Our doctors use advanced diagnostic testing and personalised treatment plans.

Full well person health screens, including cancer checks
Vitamin B12 deficiency treatment
Skin and mole checks, and minor surgery such as cryotherapy for skin tags and lesions
DNA, microbiome, Cyrex allergy, DUTCH and Tru Cancer Check testing

Video appointments

If you are travelling or unable to leave the house, a video consultation lets you discuss your concerns, get advice and arrange follow-up treatment. Any blood tests or swabs needed afterwards can be arranged. We also issue private prescriptions and referrals.

About appointments.

Appointment times: Our medical appointments start at 20 minutes and go up to 45 minutes, an opportunity to discuss any health concerns with one of our experienced private GPs.
Appointment overruns: Our doctors do all they can to accommodate an extended appointment request. Should you require more time please let reception know at time of booking, additional consultation fees apply.
Missed appointments: Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled without penalty up to 24 hours beforehand. Less than 24 hours' notice, or non-attendance on the day, incurs a 50% cancellation fee. If you are running late please let reception know on 01243 771455 as early as possible.

Do I need to be registered with the clinic?

No. You can book a private GP appointment at Meyer Clinic whenever you need it, and you do not need to de-register from your NHS GP.

Can the private GP prescribe medication?

Yes. Our GPs issue prescriptions during your appointment, and private prescriptions can be arranged through partner pharmacies.

Are appointments confidential?

Yes. We only share your records with other healthcare providers at your request.

How much does it cost?

A private GP consultation is £125. Any diagnostic tests will be charged separately.
