What you need to know

As a GP-led medical facility, Meyer Clinic remains open at this time.  We want to reassure you that we work exceptionally hard to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice to ensure your safety when you visit our clinic. To keep everyone safe in and around Meyer Clinic, both for our patients and our staff, we follow a strict set of protocols to protect against Covid-19.

Ahead of your appointment, you will be contacted, either by email or telephone, to confirm that you do not have any symptoms of coronavirus or feel unwell. If you are, we will use this opportunity to reschedule your appointment. You will be required to take a rapid Covid-19 test. This simple antigen swab test takes just a couple of seconds, with results available in just 15-minutes. It will be carried out before entry into the building by one of our healthcare professionals and will enable us to continue to safely operate during this ongoing pandemic. We will also ask you to complete and sign a consent form, confirming that you have understood the potential risks of coming in to the clinic at this time.

What to expect when you arrive

  • We are staggering our appointments to reduce the number of patients at the clinic at any one time.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, please drive around to the car park at the rear of the building. Wait in your car and telephone reception to inform them that you have arrived.
  • One of our healthcare providers will come out to you and carry out the Rapid Covid-19 test. Results will be available within 15-minutes. We would ask that you stay in your car during this time.
  • If your test is negative, we will come out to collect you.
  • We would ask you to please observe the strict 2metres social distancing measure and use the provided hand sanitiser.
  • You will be required to wear a protective face mask. All members of our team will be wearing PPE.
  • After your appointment, we will escort you out of the clinic, back to your vehicle.
  • After each appointment, we will be cleaning down our surgeries which may result in a longer wait time for your appointment. Please be patient with us.

  • Please arrive no earlier than five minutes ahead of your appointment time.
  • In order to reduce contact when making payments, we may ask you to pay in a contactless manner, or in a manner that uses disposable PPE.
  • Our toilet facilities will be closed to patients during this period.
  • Please notify us if there is any change in your health after your appointment so that we may take the necessary precautionary measures.
